The number of property sales in Cyprus increased by 12% in 2019 compared to 2018 according to official figures published by Mr. George Mais, vice president of Cyprus Land and Building Developers Association and president of ETAP.

As stated by Mr. Mais in CNA, real estate prices today are in reasonable shape and in many cases they are considered attractive to both Cypriots and foreign buyers.
According to Mr. Mais, in 2019 sales to Cypriots increased 21% across Cyprus compared to 2018, reaching 5909 or 57% of total sales. Although the majority of buyers are Cypriots, it is encouraging that 28% of sales are for foreign buyers, third-country nationals and 15% for European citizens who have opted to invest in the island of Cyprus.
